Introduction
Space Global Trading LLC ("SPACE", "we", "us" or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who uses our website, mobile applications, and services (collectively, the "Platform").
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and safeguard it, and the rights you have in relation to your data. It applies to all visitors, customers, and business partners who interact with SPACE.
By using the Platform or providing us with your personal information, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
Data We Collect
We collect personal information that you provide directly, information that is generated when you use the Platform, and information from limited third-party sources.
Information you give us
Payment card details are never stored on our servers. All card transactions are processed directly by our PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. SPACE only receives a payment reference — not your full card number or CVV.
Information collected automatically
- Device & technical data — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, time-zone setting.
- Usage data — pages visited, time spent, click-paths, referring URL, search terms used on the Platform.
- Location data — approximate location derived from IP address (city/country level only).
Information from third parties
- Payment providers (Stripe, Apple Pay, Google Pay) confirm transaction outcomes.
- Delivery partners (Aramex and others) provide shipment tracking updates.
- Analytics providers (e.g. Google Analytics) provide aggregated usage insights.
- Fraud-prevention providers may verify identity for high-value orders.
How We Use Your Data
We use personal data only for clearly defined purposes:
- To process, fulfil and deliver your orders;
- To create, secure and manage your SPACE account;
- To communicate with you about orders, quotations, deliveries, warranty claims and support requests;
- To process payments and issue tax invoices;
- To operate our Direct-to-Factory (D2F) workflow — sharing order details with the relevant factory for quotation and stock confirmation;
- To improve the Platform, our products, and the customer experience through analytics;
- To send you marketing communications where you have opted in (see Section 13);
- To detect and prevent fraud, unauthorised access, and abuse of our services;
- To comply with our legal, tax and regulatory obligations in the UAE and other applicable jurisdictions.
Legal Basis for Processing
We rely on one or more of the following legal grounds to process your personal data:
- Contract — where processing is necessary to perform the sale, delivery, and after-sales service you have requested.
- Consent — where you have opted in, for example to receive marketing emails or accept non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — for fraud prevention, service improvement, analytics, and network security, where our interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligation — where processing is required by UAE tax, commercial, or regulatory law.
Sharing Your Data
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only where necessary to operate our services and only with trusted parties bound by confidentiality obligations:
- Payment processors — to authorise and settle card, Apple Pay and Google Pay transactions.
- Delivery partners — to arrange dispatch and tracking of your order.
- Factories and brand partners — for D2F quotations and warranty processing.
- IT service providers — hosting, cloud infrastructure, email delivery, customer-service tools.
- Professional advisors — accountants, auditors and lawyers where required.
- Government & regulatory authorities — where disclosure is required by law, court order, or lawful request.
Should SPACE ever undergo a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred to the successor entity subject to the same protections as those set out in this Policy.
Cookies & Tracking
Cookies are small files placed on your device when you visit the Platform. We use both essential and optional cookies:
You can manage or disable optional cookies through the cookie banner or through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the Platform from working correctly.
Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or for as long as required by applicable law:
- Account & order data — kept for as long as your account remains active, plus a minimum of 5 years from the last transaction to comply with UAE commercial and tax law.
- Payment references — kept for 5 years for financial reconciliation.
- Marketing preferences — kept until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
- Website analytics — retained in aggregated / anonymised form for up to 26 months.
- Support communications — retained for 2 years after the ticket is closed.
When retention periods expire, we securely delete or anonymise the data.
Security of Your Data
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard your personal data, including:
- TLS/SSL encryption on all data transmitted to and from the Platform;
- Access controls, role-based permissions and two-factor authentication for staff systems;
- Regular security testing, patching, and monitoring of our infrastructure;
- PCI-DSS compliant payment processing — card details are never stored on our systems;
- Staff training on data protection and confidentiality.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we take every reasonable precaution, we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will notify you and the relevant authorities in the event of a personal data breach as required by law.
Your Rights
Subject to applicable law — including the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) — you have the following rights:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at inquiry@space.ae. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office or your local data-protection authority.
International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers (cloud hosting, email, analytics) may store or process data outside the United Arab Emirates. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as:
- Transfers to countries recognised as providing an adequate level of protection;
- Contractual data-protection clauses with our service providers;
- Reliance on other lawful transfer mechanisms available under UAE PDPL and applicable law.
Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed at children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child without appropriate consent, we will delete it promptly.
If you believe we may hold data about a child, please contact us immediately at inquiry@space.ae.
Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, plug-ins, or applications — for example, brand websites, delivery-tracking pages, or social media. Clicking these links may allow third parties to collect or share data about you.
We do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to read the privacy notice of every website you visit.
Marketing & Consent
We may send you marketing communications (email newsletters, product updates, promotions) only where you have opted in, or where you are an existing customer of a similar product and applicable law permits us to do so.
How to opt out
- Click the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email;
- Update your communication preferences in your SPACE account;
- Email inquiry@space.ae with the subject line Unsubscribe.
Opting out of marketing does not affect service messages that are essential to your account or your orders (order confirmations, shipping updates, warranty communications).
Amendments to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or the services we offer. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
For material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the Platform before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the amended Policy.
